About Richard Burke – Hypnotherapist Waterford

profile-photoRichard has a very unique background and education which enables him to provide practical help to his private and business clients.

He qualified as an Industrial Engineer in 1992, wining the national A.P. O’Reilly award for his paper in Industrial Psychology. He worked in the area of business improvement in the manufacturing industry for 15 years. His primary remit was on changing organisational architecture and involving people in the change process.

Having held management roles in many multi-national businesses, he earned his Masters Degree in Business Administration in 2002. He then qualified as trainer in 2007 with the I.I.T.D.  He has lectured in Waterford Institute of Technology at BSc level presenting a course called Organisations of the future. He has also been a keynote speaker at the last 2 National Lean Enterprise conferences with his paper on how to manage organisational change and stress. He delivered a workshop at the 2011 HR summit in W.I.T. on the issue of work place stress.

Richard is a registered and insured analytical hypno-psychotherapist with the I.C.H.P. and runs a private clinic where he helps adults and children tackle a  huge range of issues where psychological forces are involved. He established the clinic in 2005 after solving his own personal issues. He has had a slot on WFRfm every week since 2009 discussing a variety of health topics with Ian Noctor on his drive time show.

Richard divides his time between his private clinic and his business clinic. As you can see Richard has an in-depth knowledge of organisations and people. His skill marries business and organisational development with psychological understanding. This unique insight is the reason why Richard’s expertise is accessible and practical.
